CNS Fight - Sat 4 KM & Sun 2 KM barefoot Run

This week was full of struggle. CNS (Central nervous system) was malfunctioning due to which body was shaking and BP shoot up 170/100. Took one day rest and took 3 days course of CNS stimulant steroid injectable finally attacked settled on Friday. 

Despite struggle Doctor suggested not to skip my workout after one day of rest. I have not missed my workout despite weakness and muscle craps. On Sat was not able to push due to hit as I started late but completed 4 Km run. 

On Sun also I started late at 10.45 am and completed 2 Km bare foot run despite foot was burning. It is YOU that can create DESTINY not the circumstance.

Mon, Wed , Fri  : Weight training

Warm up

Legs :

Squats 20 X 2
Leg Press 20 X 2
Leg Curl 20 X 2

Back :

Compounded Row 20 X 2
Lat Pull down 20 X 2

Chest :

Bench Press with dumble 20 X 3

Shoulder :

Shoulder dumble press 20 X 3

Biceps :  

Bar Curl 20 X 2
Dumble Curl 20 X 2

Triceps :

Dumble Pull over 20 X 2

Back Extension 

Full Body Straching  

Tue, Thus : Cardio workout

Cycle Level 5-8 : 10 Min
Cross Trenor Level 3-5 : 10 Min
Treadmill : 2 Min walk, Run 13 min Speed 6-8 km, Run 3 min Speed 9 -10 Km, Run 2 Min Speed 12 Km

Sat : Long run 5 km - 10 km

Sun : Rest or barefoot run 2 km

Fitness Goals 2016 - YOUR WHY IS IMPORTANT






WHY :

To do God's work you should have healthy mind in healthy body.

WHAT :
  1. Improve CNS
  2. Try to have muscle of iron and nerves of steel by Dec 2016
  3. Gain strength with muscle mass.
  4. Enhance endurance with speed in long runs.
HOW :
  1. Reading Bhagvad Gita and try to apply its principle in life
  2. Weight training thrice a week.
  3. Cardio and abs work out twice a week
  4. Sat long run 10 km
  5. Diet and supplements

TRANSFORMATION - NERVES OF STEEL

Hi Friends,

This year I decided to challenge my muscle and nerves. As part of new year resolution i committed my self to make nerves of steel and muscle of Iron. I am enjoying workout at Gravity Fitness since 15 days. It is very challenging to go for work out at Six in the morning every day that too without any holiday except Sunday. Will reveal secret in next post how i overcome the barriers in workout to get up 5.45 AM in morning every day after tiring day. HIT AND PUSH IT HARD.

SCMM 2016 - 21 KM half Marathon

Hi Friends,

After recovering from fever with adequate rest and medicine with GOD grace I was able to finish Half Marathon in 2:38:53. Just sharing with you my story for this marathon. Last night i was excited so was not getting sleep. This usually happens day before marathon. I slept at 11 PM.

I woke up at 3:13 AM. Had brushed the teeth had apple arranged my belongings Wore my Running shoes and heads off at 4.00 AM in my car with my friend Virendra. I reached Holding area at Worli dairy at 4.35 AM. My friend Virendra took my car and he heads towards home. I reached Holding area after submitting my baggage and security check at 4.45 AM. I did starching for 5 minutes and took sit in lobby was eagerly  waiting to start gun to be fired. At 5.20 Am I took Amino acid THE FUEL TO MY BODY. It is very important to give your body protein before run. 5.40 AM sharp Gun fired. I passed start line around 5.45 AM. Started running on worli sea face and than moved towards Sea link it was great experience. I took first ship of water at 5 KM at sea link end at bandra from there we took U-turn again enjoyed sea link course for another 5 KM. At 8 KM I refilled body with couple of ship of slats. Salts intake is very important it will help muscle to avoid cramps. You will not get vertigo. But CAUTION if you feel PALPITATION avoid salt.

I kept running people were cheering us at worli sea face and near Atria mall junctions. Small kids motivating runner by screaming RUN MUMBAI RUN. They were distributing biscuits and chocolates but I avoided it. At Haji Ali junction people were cheering runners and 15 KM run completed. Now hell of padder road fly over was about to start. In all marathon I walked on this path. But this time I told to self I do not want walk instead I want to run. I kept running on hilly path. I developed palpitation. Heart beat was increased and my artery in right hand was moving like Engine. It was body call to slowdown I reduced my pace at padder road fly over and managed palpitation. NEVER IGNORE BODY CALL. IT MAY CAUSE FATAL CONDITION. After descending at Kemps corner fly over I again refilled body with salts till that time I avoided slats. It was stip decent so controlling pace to avoid knee injury. I kept running  crossed 18 KM mark at Charni Road. After that I took first walk for few meters. I passed though cool zone. it was fun. Rock music was played on both side of roads to keep runners pushing themselves as now it was only 3 KM to go.

Now mental game started mind was saying take big walk but self was not getting agreed to mind call.I kept running. Was trying to push self but was unable to gain pace. So again i took walk few meters after 19 Km and i saw 1000 meters remained. I committed my self i am not going to take walk now till i reached the finish line. Usually i used to take multiple walks in last KM in earlier marathon. I crossed finished line with photo finish posture with pushing very hard when 100 meters remained.After race walked towards refreshment zone at Azad Maidan. I took refreshment kit and finished medal. I felt proud despite poor health condition for one week God helped me to finish race without any hurdle. Just got little pain in knee and calf. THANK YOU GOD. THANK YOU FRIENDS for good wishes. I want to share below what was my personal best in this race.

1) I ran non-stop for 18 KM. in the past i ran non stop in Powai run for 10 KM only. I removed the mental block than I can't run above 10 KM without walk.
2) I ran hell path Peddar road fly over without walk as in earlier races i preferred to walk on this course.
3) In last 1000 meter not taken walk.

Was having fever since 5 days was little worried about my run at Sunday.  Was thinking i need to drop this run but with God grace with 2 days complete rest was now prepared for tomorrow run. THANK YOU GOD. Now meditating on Sati song by Salim Suleiman

Am excited for tomorrow dawn as race timing is 5.40 AM need to reach Holding area at Worli Dairy So need to weak up at 3.30 Am and catch the train to reach Dadar asap. Below is my running bib. Will share my complete story of run later.

10 KM Powai run 3 Jan 2016 - Finish time 1:06:55

Hi Friends,

Sharing with you all story of 10 KM Powai run. I woke up at 3.50 am. Applied bib on my T-shirt and wore running shoes. At 4 .00 am started driving towards powai, reached powai around 4.25 am parked my car near Subway. I took walk towards holding area near Nomura building and reached there by 4.45 am. I warmed up for 10 min. Waiting for GUN fire to start off. race began at 5.35 am sharp. I started running at steady pace. Weather was not that cool. Was started sweating all around when cleared 3 km course. I galloped only one sip of water at 5 km. At 7 km I agalloped one sip of Energal which is comprised of slats and electrolytes which is needed to prevent muscle cramps due to loss of salt. Now at 8 km mental game started. I was usually take walk after 8 km run but this time i wanted to try something different. My mind was telling me stop and take walk. But I decided to keep running. End course of Hiranandani run was like mountain trails up and down surface so experienced difficulty in pushing myself but i kept moving and not stopped jogging. 6.42 am i crossed finish line weaving my hands. I had Joy of finishing race with non stop running for 10 km continuously without any break and walk. My personal best break free run was 8 km.I moved towads presenation area collected my finisher Medal and had healthy break fast of corn flank with milk. I took rest near Hiranandani school and headed towards home by 7.25 am and finally reached home at 8.00 am.
